 Vienna, 25 March 2008 - "I have received an update this morning. The agonising uncertainty about the fate of Bert Nussbaumer weighs heavily on me too," stated Foreign Minister Ursula Plassnik today, commenting on the security guard from Upper Austria who was kidnapped in Iraq in November 2006.
"We have been trying hard to obtain reliable information on his fate for the last one and a half years," emphasised Plassnik. "We are making use of all available channels and networks, and maintain constant contact with the US authorities. Although we follow up on all clues, we have not obtained any reliable information so far," she concluded.
