The Austrian Embassy invites applications for internships in Washington, D.C.
General reqirements include Austrian citizenship (except Cultural Forum) and fluency in English and German.
The Austrian Embassy invites applications for an unpaid internship of at least three months at the Press and Information Service in Washington, D.C. Working hours are from Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm, whereas interns have five days plus the Austrian holidays off.
General requirements include:
- Austrian citizenship,
- Fluent in English and German,
- - Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office),
- Student or working experiences in the following fields: Communication, Journalism, PR, Media.
- Duties include:
- · Responding to questions via email, mail or phone regarding Austria,
· Researching information from the Internet,
· Monitoring press articles from American newsletters and magazines on a daily basis,
· Drafting reports on issues of interest for the Press Department's homepage: www.austria.org ,
· Attending various events, such as congress hearings, news conferences, and think tank briefings,
· Participating in events the Embassy is holding.
