EURO 2008™ – Host City Media Service in Austria Print E-mail
From June 7 to 29, thousands of football fans will come to Austria & Switzerland and we will be happy to welcome them all.

Host City Media Center:
The four Austrian Host Cities (Innsbruck, Klagenfurt, Salzburg and Vienna) have set up “Host City Media Centers” (HCMC) near the Public Viewing Areas to make reporting beyond the sportive aspect of this event easier for you.

The HCMCs will be equipped with workstations, telephones, fax machines, a certain amount of PCs with internet access (MS Windows XP and MS Word software), printers (b/w), photocopiers, electricity connections (220 voltage) and TV sets. If you bring your own PC you will find internationally standardised LAN, ISDN- and analog access points for internet and data links. A WLAN network will also be provided. Each HCMC has a cafeteria offering non-alcoholic drinks and snacks.
You will find more information about the location, opening times and the program offered by the HCMCs on our website www.austria2008-media.at. There you also can find all links to our Host Cities, details about daily briefings, contact persons and can sign in for special interests programs set up for journalists (from mid May 2008).

Daily briefings
Daily briefings will be held in all four HCMCs. Representatives of the local city administration and emergency services will inform you about organisational measures taken around the match event. Apart from that there will be numerous other media-discussions on topics of the EURO 2008™. You will find further details in due time on our website www.austria2008-media.at.

Accreditation
In order to get access to the four HCMCs accreditation is mandatory. Please use our onlineaccreditation system on our website www.austria2008-media.at. Once you have done your onlineaccreditation you will have access to all Austrian HCMCs.
It is possible to get an ad hoc accreditation at the venue, but expect that due to the estimated attendance, you will have to queue up.
Please note that the Host City accreditation badge is NOT valuable for UEFA venues, such as stadiums, Stadium Media Centres (SMCs) and for events organised by the UEFA.

We are looking forward to welcome you in Austria!

With kind regards
The press-officers of the Host Cities
