Cornelia Herrmann is a young pianist from Salzburg who studied in Salzburg, Vienna and Budapest. She is highly acclaimed for her sensitive, musical and intellectual appearance on the piano. In 1996 she was the youngest finalist and winner of the International J. S. Bach Competition in Leipzig, and in 1999 she gained a special award at the International Mozart Competition in Salzburg. This season Cornelia Herrmann’s engagements include guest concerts in Stuttgart, Leipzig, Tokyo, Washington and Boston. In May 2006 her second CD was released, with Schumann's Fantasy Pieces op 12 and Brahms' Piano Pieces op 76. In 2009 Cornelia Herrmann will perform Schumann's Piano Concerto in the Great Hall of the Vienna Konzerthaus.
