Bernhard Aichner's thriller Woman of the Dead ("Totenfrau") has been a long-time bestseller in Austria and Germany. Aichner spent six months working for an undertaker while researching the novel, which has been sold in sixteen countries including the USA and the UK, and is being made into a feature length movie. House of the Dead, the second novel in the Blum trilogy, continues the series' success.
Author and photographer Bernhard Aichner was born in 1972 and lives in Innsbruck, Austria. He writes novels, audio and stage plays and has been awarded several literary prizes and scholarships for his work.
