JPO Programme

The Junior Professional Officer (JPO) programme offers young university graduates a one- to two-year assignment in an international organisation. For participants with Austrian nationality, the Foreign Ministry finances the total assignment costs. The JPO programme is a contribution to development cooperation through the United Nations System and represents a continuous flow of technical cooperation personnel from donors to developing countries. The aim of this programme is to support the respective UN organisation and to provide training and hands-on experience in multi-lateral technical co-operation to young professionals.
