The Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs and Carnegie Europe will host a high-profile conference on how to address the challenges and renewed ambitions of the European Neighborhood Policy (ENP) at the Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs on Monday, 2 March 2015.
Turmoil is erupting across the EU's neighboring regions, economic transitions are slowing down, and the ENP's original aspirations appear increasingly elusive. Ten years after its launch, it is time to rethink the ENP. This conference aims to make a substantial contribution to the ongoing ENP review process led by High Representative Federica Mogherini and Commissioner Johannes Hahn.
The conference will be opened by Federal Minister Sebastian Kurz and Director Jan Techau of Carnegie Europe followed by a key note address by Commissioner Johannes Hahn. Officials, business and think tank representatives, and selected journalists from Austria and across Europe, all experts or stakeholders in European neighborhood issues, will take part in this review process.
