Starting on 20 April 2015 the Preparatory meeting for the First Conference of States Parties to the Arms Trade Treaty (#ATTVienna), will take place in Vienna.
The Arms Trade Treaty for the first time ever stipulates rules for the international transfer of conventional weapons. The Treaty entered into force in a record time of 20 months after its adoption on 24 December 2014.
300 representatives from governments, international organisations, civil society and industry from about 100 countries will discuss in a two day meeting in which way the Arms Trade Treaty can be implemented in an effective way.

20 April 2015: 9:00 am – 9:30 am Opening
21 April 2015: 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm The Way Ahead and Closing
