ASciNA: Connecting Austrian Scientists Across North America
Austrian scientists across North America are driving innovation and advancing research—yet many remain unconnected. ASciNA (Austrian Scientists and Scholars in North America) changes that.
Founded in 2001, ASciNA has grown into the only successful, continent-wide network of Austrian scientists abroad, connecting around 1,400 members across 15 chapters. It brings together researchers across disciplines and career stages, creating a strong, supportive community. Yet, there are a lot more Austrian scientists and scholars in the United States, that do not yet know that ASciNA exists. ASciNA would like to change that.
As a matter of introduction, ASciNA members gain direct access to a powerful network of Austrian scientists across North America—opening doors to new collaborations, support, visibility, and career opportunities. Through conferences, virtual talks, and local chapter events, members can share their work, exchange ideas, and build meaningful professional connections while strengthening their social ties.
The acclaimed mentoring program connects early-career scientists with established researchers, providing guidance, insight, and long-term support. Members are also eligible for the prestigious ASciNA Awards, recognizing outstanding scientific achievements and increasing international visibility.
ASciNA also offers a unique opportunity to stay connected to Austria’s research landscape while building your career in North America.
Join ASciNA to expand your network, advance your career, and be part of a community that supports your success—professionally and personally.
