IMPORTANT: Each Consulate General only deals with inquiries about residence permits, passports, visas, social security matters, etc. originating from within its consular district - please contact the respective office for assistance depending on where you are located. If you reside outside the U.S., please contact the Austrian Embassy or Consulate in your country.

Visa applications of persons residing in the consular districts of the Austrian Consulate General New York and the Consular Section of the Embassy of Austria in Washington, DC, must be submitted at the VFS Visa Application Centers. Inquiries by phone regarding visas and residence titles are answered Mo - Fr between 09:00 - 10:00 am and 2:00 - 3:00 pm only.
