On September 19, Peacock Meadow in Golden Gate Park once again became a gathering place for Europe in San Francisco. More than 10,000 visitors attended the third edition of Europe in the Park, organized by the EU Office in San Francisco, for an afternoon of European culture, food, music and activities.
The Austrian Consulate in San Francisco and OPEN AUSTRIA took part for the third time. For the second year in a row, Austria partnered with woom, the children’s bike company founded in Austria. Its famously lightweight bikes were a natural draw for families and gave visitors a hands-on way to experience Austrian innovation.
More than 20 European countries and partners were represented across Peacock Meadow with country booths, games and activities. The expanded 2026 edition also included food vendors, a beer garden and family programming, while the main stage featured music and dance performances from across Europe throughout the day.
Austria was also part of the official stage program with a raffle announced at the start of the afternoon and drawn during the closing program. With a woom bike as the grand prize, the raffle attracted steady attention to OPEN AUSTRIA and brought many visitors to the Austrian stand.
With more than 10,000 people attending, Europe in the Park once again gave Austria a strong presence within San Francisco’s local community. It also offered a fitting setting to bring together Austrian culture, community and entrepreneurship in one of the city’s best known public spaces: Golden Gate Park.
