Austrian Consulate in Dallas Opens

Austrian Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker traveled to Dallas, TX, to officially open the new Austrian Honorary Consulate in the Metroplex, marking a push to strengthen economic and diplomatic ties with North Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. He used the business trip to meet with local leaders and also attend the Austria-Argentina World Cup match in Dallas. The Consulate is headed by Honorary Consul Dr. Hubert Zajicek.

Texas stands for innovation, entrepreneurship, and opportunity. Austrian companies are already active in the region; they are investing, creating jobs, and bringing Austrian expertise to Texas. The new Honorary Consulate is a sign of mutual trust and will serve as a platform for dialogue and partnership between Texas and Austria.
