On July 22, 2025, the official launch of the EUNIC LA Cluster took place. Austria is now a proud founding member of this important EU National Institutes for Culture network in Los Angeles. Consul General Michael Postl signed the Cluster Charter on behalf of the Austrian Consulate General in Los Angeles.

Alongside the Austrian Consulate General, the founding members of the LA Cluster include Germany’s Goethe-Institut Los Angeles, France’s Alliance Française Foundation, Italy’s Istituto Italiano di Cultura Los Angeles, Spain’s Instituto Cervantes de Los Angeles, as well as the Consulates General of the Czech Republic and Ireland.

The members of the EUNIC LA Cluster will work closely together on joint projects to bring European culture, art, music, film, literature, and language to Angelenos, fostering a vibrant cultural dialogue in the second largest city of the United States.
