On May 16, 2026, Austria hosted the Eurovision Song Contest Finale in Vienna, welcoming 26 artists to compete for the prestigious title. To bring the excitement of Europe’s biggest music competition to the United States, the Embassy of Austria, together with our valued partner, the American Austrian Cultural Society, hosted a Eurovision watch party at the embassy in Washington, D.C.

In addition to great music, guests enjoyed specialty cocktails crafted by Red Bull, as well as Austrian wine, beer, and cuisine prepared by District Forks. They also had the opportunity to test their knowledge of the Eurovision Song Contest in a themed quiz for a chance to win prizes, capture their own "star moment" at the photo booth, and cast their votes during the audience voting.

One of the highlights was the Natural History Museum Vienna’s “Voices of Nature. Song Contest of the Animals” exhibit, featuring 35 animals representing the participating countries and competing for the title of ESC champion.

Congratulations to Dara on securing Bulgaria’s first-ever Eurovision victory. Special shout-outs also go to Austria’s own Cosmó with Tanzschein, our friends at Red Bull, and, of course, the hundreds of guests who joined us to celebrate this unforgettable evening — true to the Eurovision motto, "United by Music."
